As most of you may not know, my full time job is not a wedding photographer, but actually a neonatal intensive care / transport nurse. I find it hard to choose between both passions and I can’t imagine going the rest of my life picking one or the other. I have seen the humbling goodness of miracles in my nursing career and I’ve also seen the heartbreaking side too. Photography started as a hobby that let me pour out my creative side and dive into something where I could separate myself from some of the harder things about my other job. It didn’t take long for me to realize and understand I loved photographing love, it meant so much to me.
I have now been married to this hunky husbabe for a little over a year. We bypassed the big wedding and had a smaller about 50 people wedding on the Buffalo National River in Ponca Arkansas with a reception at this amazing three story lodge. It was perfect for us because that’s who we are. We spend a lot of time traveling in our renovated 1963 airstream, camping on the river, rock climbing in the Ozarks and seeking out the best food everywhere we go. We have two blue heeler (mixes) and a tabby cat who go everywhere with us, so you’ll probably meet them (the dogs) at some shoots! No marriage is perfect by any means but I truly feel like I am the luckiest girl with this one. I’ve never known a love so deep and wonderful and I am beyond grateful I took a chance and moved here to date him. Jamie has been my backbone and my number one fan in starting this photography business. He is also my second shooter as he is actually the one who taught me everything there is to know about photography.
I want to capture the raw moments, the really in love in depth, this is the best time of your life moments. I think the in-between real emotion photos are what will give you that same feeling when you're looking back on them years from now. I’ve found this driving hard passion for documenting love and I would be honored to be apart of your love story.
